Genetic Architecture of Maize Kernel Composition in the Nested Association Mapping and Inbred Association Panels - Data

Data in this directory is associated with Cook et al., 2012, Plant Physiology. The data types in this directory tree are phenotypic data for the maize NAM population and 282 association panel and SNP data for the maize association panel. Plants were grown in seven locations and NIR spectroscopy analysis was performed on whole kernels from two selfed plants to predict starch, protein, oil, and moisture contents. Best linear unbiased estimators for those are presented. In addition, the 282 inbred association panel was genotyped with the Illumina MaizeSNP50 BeadChip, an Infinium-based assay to produce a filtered dataset of 51,741 SNPs.
